We lost it... Its disappointing. How could we? And that too from Pakistan-our arch-rival, our antagonist or whatever they call them. I came to my brother's house traveling a journey of unpleasant 50minutes or so and the outcome is such utter disappointing that this disappointing looks disappointed in itself.
Flashback 3:00 PM
How can we be so unlucky? Our wifi ran into some problems just after the toss. Time tried to beat us by racing up the seconds and minutes needles. However, we came good and match started. I thought India will prefer to bat first because unlike others its a pressure game but they chose to ball. Perhaps they were certain to be called chase-masters of which they often boast off and also proved that umpteenth time. Finals are mostly high pressure matches. And that too if it is ind vs pak then it adds icing on the cake.
Anyhow game started and it was shaky. There were volley of no-balls and wide. A no ball which kissed Fakhar's bat and went directly to the gloves went in vain. This ball would be 'game-changer' later in match. Except Bhuvi, no one was seen in zeal and rhythm. Ashwin and Jaddu who were once match-winners played no where near their talents and keep conceding runs and boundaries. Even a try to bring Kedar to revive India didn't work. In all, they failed to take wickets at crucial points and let go the created chances. May be captaincy is the loophole but shit happens. The pain given by the bowlers were waiting to get subdued by performance of batsmen but it was exacerbated. Rohit played his natural game and got out in just fifth ball of the match. He has been a hell of inconsistent batsman. God knows, how he fared well in previous matches of CT. Virat, Dhawan, Yuvi, Dhoni played 'you go, i am coming' very well. At least the thing that they well should be praised. Shouldn't it?
But Pandya showed a great resistance and played a beautiful knock. However he fell prey to misjudged shot and timing of SIR and got run out. Pakistan in no time grabbed trophy by trampling India beneath its feet.
Now 12:59AM
I am still in a state of shock and despair. But it's just a game where one wins and other lose. It was pakistan's day and at last it was them who revel. It's soothing to see Pakistan being last ranked team to come as champion. No doubt we call cricket a game of uncertainty. But if a pride gets lost with a pack it doesn't suggest they are weak and will not rebound. Till then goodbye.
