Ouster of Coach!

Well these days news are flooding of rift between current generation finest batsman Virat Kohli and yesteryear bowling legend Anil Kumble who was also the coach of Indian team. It looks quite ironical that the bond which appeared so fresh and spellbinding at the beginning turned so acerbic that Kumble has to resign. Reports were that if kumble had not given resignation, kohil would have. Indian team has never witnessed such stringent relationship between coach and captain. Not even in the time of Chappell and Ganguly.

Question arises why it happened? Was their style of work so different (although motto must have been the same, no pun intended) that people of such high calibre came on irreconcilable terms? If reports were to believe, it was kohli who wanted coach to let go rather than coach himself. Naturally, if they are two different people their way to take things will be different. But when one is involved in bigger interests, as big as making India win, can one not be compromising a bit? Or is it matter of making India win that makes one uncompromising at all?

I have a very bad habit of writing such columns in chunks. Thus now i forgot most of the content i was having in my head. Whatever be the issues related to the conflict of hegemony in Indian team, i hope it will soon come above all those. BCCI will leave no stone unturned in resolving these issues. It's time to be just an audience and watch quietly which side camel will sit.
Jai Hind!!!
